Cebu Pacific releases flexible options for passengers until Dec. 7

Amid the threat of the Omicron coronavirus variant, budget carrier Cebu Pacific said the Inter-Agency Task Force released guidelines for arriving passengers effective November 29, 2021.

In a statement, Cebu Pacific said passengers from countries in the green and yellow lists will be required to undergo the same quarantine and testing protocols until December 15, 2021.

For fully vaccinated individuals with RT-PCR tests taken 72 hours prior to travel, they will need to undergo a mandatory four-day quarantine in an accredited facility.

Testing on the third day will also be done and passengers are required to continue quarantine until results are released.

They are also required to self monitor until the 14th day.

For fully vaccinated individuals without RT-PCR tests, they are required to undergo a mandatory six-day quarantine. They will also be tested on the fifth day and are required to continue with their quarantine until results are released.

They will also undergo home quarantine until the 10th day.

Meanwhile, for partially vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, they are required to undergo a mandatory eight-day quarantine and be tested on the 7th day. They need to continue their quarantine until results are released.

They will also be home quarantined until the 14th day.

Cebu Pacific said it will continue to operate flights to the following countries included in the green list but must follow the testing and quarantine requirements of the yellow list:

  • Dubai
  • Japan (Narita, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka)
  • Hong Kong
  • Taiwan (Taipei)
  • China (Guangzhou)

Incoming passengers from said countries must comply with the protocols upon arrival in the Philippines.

However, international passengers with flights until December 7 who wish to postpone their travel have the option to rebook or store the amount in their travel fund.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
