Presidential aspirant Senator Christopher “Bong” Go will pick President Rodrigo Duterte’s daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as his running mate if he will have his way.
“Sa ngayon wala akong vice president (VP). Sino ba naman pipiliin kong VP? Siyempre anak ng aking boss,” Go said in a chance interview in General Santos City.
(For now, I don’t have a vice president. But who else would I choose as my VP? Of course, my boss’ daughter.)
“Siya [ang] closest to our heart. Kung ako papipiliin. Pero syempre may partido tayo na dapat sundin,” Go added.
(She’s the closest to our heart if I had a choice. But of course, we are loyal to our political party.)
Go initially filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for vice president under PDP-Laban.
When Mayor Sara filed her COC for vice president under Lakas-CMD, Go withdrew his PDP-Laban COC and filed a COC for president as a substitution candidate of Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan (PDDS).
Go, however, is yet to give details as to when he took his oath as a PDDS member. — DVM, GMA News
