35% of adult Filipinos have received a least 1 COVID-19 vaccine dose –SWS

An estimated 25 million adult Filipinos have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, results of the latest Social Weather Stations survey showed.

The SWS poll, conducted from September 27 to 30, shows that 35% of adult Filipinos have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine shot.

Of the 35%, 17.7 million Filipinos or 25% are already done with their second jab, while the 10% or 7.3 million are on their first dose.

The percentage of adults already vaccinated with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine was highest in Metro Manila with 71%, followed by Balance Luzon with 36%, Mindanao with 25%, and Visayas with 21%.

Compared to June 2021, the percentage of those who received at least a dose rose in the capital region by 44 points from 27%.

In terms of educational level, the percentage of those vaccinated with at least a dose was highest among college graduates with 49%, followed by junior high school graduates with 37%, elementary graduates with 31%, and non-elementary graduates with 23%.

The survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews of 1,500 Filipino adults, with 300 each in Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao, and 600 in Balance Luzon.

The sampling error margins were at ±2.5% for national percentages and ±6% for Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao, and ±4% for Balance Luzon.
