Moreno: Be careful of candidates promising gold

Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno warned the public of candidates “promising gold” in exchange for their votes in Eleksyon 2022.

“Syempre election ngayon baka maraming umiikot o mga kwento kwento na mabibigyan ginto, mabibigyan ng pera. Kaya ang paalala dyan eh ingat lang hindi pa nakita ang ginto ni Yamashita,” Moreno said in Mariz Umali’s “24 Oras” report on Wednesday.

(There is an upcoming election and there might be a lot of stories that people will be given gold or money. So that’s a reminder, just be careful because the Yamashita treasure has not yet been found.)

During his visit to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Moreno also vowed not to relocate those residents in Manila to the provinces if he wins the presidency.

Meanwhile, his running mate under the Aksyon Demokratiko party, Dr. Willie Ong, said that he will focus on building a cancer center and developing medical facilities including those in the regions.

Moreno also bared that he will have a scheduled drug test with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Thursday morning, along with Ong and his senatorial slate.

In a letter addressed to PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva on Tuesday, Moreno requested to have him tested for illegal drugs.

He said he is willing to submit himself to drug testing, adding it is a “matter of public interest and a matter of principle.”

In a speech Thursday night, Duterte warned voters about a presidential aspirant who is using cocaine. He did not name the aspirant.
