Philippines to soft launch VaxCertPH on Sept. 6

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has approved the soft launch of the VaxCertPH on Monday, September 6.

According to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr, overseas Filipino workers and Filipinos going abroad with a place of residence in Metro Manila and Baguio will be prioritized in the initial phase of the implementation.

Roque said the VaxCertPH will be open to the public at a later time.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) previously said the VaxCertPH would be fully implemented by October.

VaxCertPH, developed by the DICT and the Department of Health, relies on the data submitted by local government units through the Vaccine Information Management System.

It is a portal for the issuance of COVID-19 vaccination certificates to fully vaccinated individuals.

Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez has said that local government units have started submitting their lists of vaccinated residents to the agency. -MDM, GMA News
